+972 Magazine is an online, nonprofit magazine run by independent Palestinian and Israeli journalists. The magazine spotlights overlooked communities who struggle against occupation and apartheid. “The Landline” is their weekly newsletter.

In a May 2023 newsletter, journalist Amjad Iraqi reported on the cruelty of Israel’s apartheid regime. In one case, Israeli officers stormed the home of a Palestinian family in the middle of the night with stun grenades, violently arresting residents before bulldozers turned the home to rubble. The mother of the household asked: “How do they expect my children to grow up and not be full of anger and hatred against them?”
