Calling it Apartheid

Writing in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Israeli lawyer and political activist Michael Sfard describes Israel’s treatment of Palestinians as Apartheid: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium-yes-it-s-israeli-apartheid-even-without-annexation-1.8984029

Sfard came to the conclusion when writing a legal opinion for the Yesh Din civil rights group. In an exclusive interview with +972 Magazine, Sfard explained what led Yesh Din to charge Israel with the crime of apartheid in the West Bank.

Yesh Din is an Israeli organization served by a volunteer corps and by a professional staff, lawyers and human rights experts. Yesh Din was established in 2005 and works to protect the human rights of Palestinians living under Israeli armed forces’ occupation.
