The History of Arab Erasure
Arabs Erased from Space and Consciousness

Noga Kadman’s book Erased from Space and Consciousness: Israel and the Depopulated Palestinian Villages of 1948 uses official archives, kibbutz publications, and field research to reconstruct the history of Arab erasure in 418 depopulated villages. In an interview about her research, Kadman argues that this erasure resulted in Israelis believing their country is Jewish with very little Arab history or geography. The book can be purchased here.
