Rising Israeli Settler Violence in the Occupied West Bank
Israeli settler violence

Palestinians living in the Occupied Territories endure extremely harsh living conditions due to the Israeli military occupation. However, the Israel Defense Forces are not the only source of violence. Israeli settlers are also committing acts of violence. This infographic from Visualizing Palestine shows a 170% increase in Jewish-Israeli settler violence in the Occupied West Bank between 2017 and 2022. Acts of violence include directly injuring or killing people; vandalizing trees (a source of income for agricultural workers, as well as a symbol of Palestinian national pride), land, and vehicles; and stealing, injuring, or killing livestock.
