Historian Adam Raz’s book Military Rule, 1948-1966: A Collection of Documents includes more than 100 newly uncovered archival documents, maps, tables, and photos to shed light on Israel’s military rule: how it operated, its stated and hidden objectives, and how it impacted daily life for Palestinians. In an article for Haaretz about his research, Raz describes the oppression Palestinians endured since the creation of the State of Israel, from permanent curfews and restrictions on movement to outright abuse. The book can be purchased here.
