Noam Chomsky is a renown Jewish American academic, linguist, and political activist. Chomsky is a prolific writer who has published many books and articles and has become a public intellectual.
In a 2023 interview with Al Jazeera about Palestine and Israel, Chomsky shared that for most of his campus talks about Israel-Palestine, he had to have police protection due to the “violent antagonism of the pro-Israel forces.” This changed after Operation Cast Lead, in which Americans were able to see the brutality Israel’s regime is over Palestinians.
