Nurit Peled-Elhanan is a Jewish philologist, activist, translator, and Professor of language and education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her teaching and research advocates for inclusive education in both Israel and Palestine by highlighting how textbooks in the region are both highly censored and anti-Palestinian, describing Palestinian communities as “primitive farmers and terrorists.”

In this viral video circulating online, Peled-Elhanan states that the “Israeli propaganda machine employs tactics of indoctrination.” She asks, “How do you take nice Jewish children and turn them into monsters, killers of children by the time they’re 18?” In the interview, Peled questions the contradictions between Jewish violence and victimhood. She calls for peace in Palestine by criticizing the level of Israeli violence.
