Sheryl Baron Nestel is an independent scholar who founded Ha’Am, the first Jewish student newspaper funded by a public university, and organized the first Second Wave Jewish feminist conference through the Jewish Student Network. In an op-ed for the Toronto Star, Nestel shared why it is wrong to equate criticism of Israel with antisemitism in response to an article praising the adoption by the Ontario Legislature of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Working Definition of Antisemitism.
