The Desecration of Qaqun Mosque
The Desecration of Qaqun Mosque

The title page of a book published in 1936 was uploaded from Qaqun.org to the Palestine Remembered website in 2010. Described as a book about “the desecration of the Qaqun Mosque by British soldiers,” the archival description also explains the “burning of the Holy Quran” was a part of the damage done within the Mosque. This incident took place almost ten years before Qaqun was attacked again by invading Jewish settlers in 1945 and the village was completely depopulated. When the towns infrastructure and buildings were destroyed, all of the Palestinian residents were displaced.
